Fati – in days and 16 decades – became the youngest participant named at a Barcelona starting XI at the Nou Camp, beating the record place in 2009, and on his very first senior start of Marc Muniesa, took two minutes to leave a second marker.
Timing a run to perfection to fulfill a Frenkie de Jong pass, Fati beat against goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen that is ex-Barca to turn into the Nou Camp’s kid goalscorer.

Fati might be the newest thing from Barca’s famed La Masia academy but he learned the game if he moved with his family from Guinea-Bissau aged only six.
“I have been watching football for 50 decades and I have never seen anyone like him he’s not scared of anyone,” explained Fati’s first coach, Jose Luis Perez Mena of all Herrera, in quotes reported by UEFA.

“I am so very happy ,” Valdes told reporters following Fati’s introduction against Betis. “He signifies hard work. He has the mentality of an elite player and he’s a predator in the box.”
Valdes may have observed Fati’s goalscoring instincts up close but considers the youngster needs positional”liberty” to shine.
“He’s powerful, he quickly… he’s total anarchy when he receives the ball and if you see talent like this, you have to give those players full freedom – don’t constrain them.
“He should not be tied down to playing on a single wing and made to endure. You have to allow them to express themselves through their own all-natural instinct”
Albert Puig, La Masia’s former technical manager, has also talked of the invaluable versatility of Fati.
“His characteristic is he can play all of the attacking positions,” Puig informed Bleacher Report. “He could play at 9, 11, 7, 10. He’s very versatile. This makes a difference. He is fast. He has got a excellent imagination. He’s got this natural gift… this kind of player who plays freely on the roads for hours and hours”
Fati’s emergence has alerted the Spanish football federation (RFEF), together with federal coach Spain coach Robert Moreno admitting chiefs have been”working” to lure the player ahead of their U17 World Cup next month.
“It’s not a problem which I am in control of,” Moreno said. “People in the RFEF are working on it to buy Ansu [to perform Spain] and it’s going to be the player’s decision. The RFEF are working on having the top players.”
A tug-of-war while Valverde might have his stars back shortly and using Guinea-Bissau over the global future of Fati may be brewing – Messi has returned to coaching – expect to see this particular term to more of the adolescent.
Barcelona are fast to tie Fati down into a new three-year bargain that reportedly includes a $100m release clause.
