Aston Villa confident of no FFP breach as Premier League look at Villa Park sale

Aston Villa are convinced they haven’t broken any Financial Fair Play rules as the Premier League appearance into the sale and lease back of Villa Park.
Despite conducting the transaction while at the Championship, along with Reading, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday, the Premier League will look at whether Villa are in breach of some FFP rules.

After the EFL commissioned an independent evaluation after concerns from other second-tier clubs which it had been overvalued on Thursday, Derby defended the 80m sale of Pride Park.
The decisions of those four clubs, one of which has achieved marketing, to sell their stadiums to other companies with the same possession was met with criticism and opposition from Championship sides.
Middlesbrough have started legal action against Derby within the problem and Boro chairman Steve Gibson has complained to the EFL, saying he believes that the selling along with lease-back system contravenes that the League’s rules on P&S – but his suggestion to modify the rule earlier this season has been voted down by the other teams.

DANIEL CORMIER VS. STIPE MIOCIC REMATCH SET

Brock Lesnar is not coming back, and also the date and competition for another name defense of UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was set.

Now 40 decades of age, Cormier doesn’t have many fights left in him, and it was expected he would fight Lesnar and possibly Jones to get a third time before drifting off into the sunset. Instead, he’ll now take on Miocic at a rematch.
Miocic (18-3) is 12-3 overall from the UFC. He hasn’t fought since his surprising KO loss to Cormier last summer, but before which was riding a six-fight win streak that included victories over the likes of Franics Ngannou, Junior dos Santos, Alistair Overeem, Fabricio Werdum, Andrei Arlovski and Mark Hunt. He was demanding a rematch against Cormier for a while, but the UFC was adamant that Lesnar could find the rematch. But with Lesnar now not being a part of the UFC’s future plans, Miocic is receiving the rematch he warrants.
Though Miocic was the preferred heading into the first fight, it is hard to see him being preferred in the rematch. On the contrary, it appears quite probable that Cormier will be the betting favorite for this second fight. After all, he deserves it believing he brutally knocked out Miocic the first time that they fought. That isn’t to say it will not be an intriguing rematch. Miocic has all of the capabilities in the world to make the adjustments required to create the rematch a more aggressive struggle, and now we will learn if he can accomplish this. He’ll be seeking to reclaim his gold that summer, while Cormier will probably be seeking to get another win and continue to build his legacy.

“We have only always asked for consequences. A principle was set in place and it was not abided by today and they utilized different consequences for this rule. I do not really know why that is the situation. It’s motor racing and that also I guess that the stewards awakened about another side of the mattress.
“If Verstappen must have got that last year, then the exact same rule should apply.”
The connection between Hamilton and Leclerc was respectful and hot, and the older guy said there wasn’t any reason for it to change.

Rochdale in a 3-2 Sky Bet League One win closed their first win of the season, but gave AFC Wimbledon a scare.

They made an ideal start as they took the lead around the clock, Marcus Forss lashing home a fine volley.
